Care of maintenance and engine preservation

You are here: Home / Uncategorised / Care of maintenance and engine preservation

18th April 2020 //  by Tatenhill

PLEASE READ

In order to preserve your aircraft, on a monthly basis, you can choose from the following:

  • Our engineering team to carry out a preservation of maintenance and retain in your aircraft records (see attached Form M99);
  • Follow the CAA guidance for “engine health flights”

Flights are strictly only for a 30 minute duration and within the circuit on a monthly basis.  The airfield is closed at weekends for this activity, TAL have to keep a log of these flights so please liaise with our office for a slot during normal working hours.

There will be a maximum of four slots a day to ensure Covid-19 guidance.

GA engine health flights.
Please see the following document: GA-flights-for-maintenance-checks.pdf
For the complete CAA information relating to Covid-19: https://www.caa.co.uk/COVID-19/
